Digital Archiving and Self-Archiving Policy

Journal for Research in Public Health (JRPH)

Digital Preservation Policy

The Journal for Research in Public Health (JRPH) is committed to the long-term preservation of its scholarly content, so that published articles remain accessible to the scientific community, even in the event of a system failure or if the journal ceases publication.

To achieve this, the journal employs the following systems:

No. System Description
1 National Resource Platform Published articles are deposited in Garba Rujukan Digital (GARUDA) to ensure local accessibility and preservation.
2 DOI System A Digital Object Identifier (DOI, prefix 10.30994) is assigned to each article, ensuring a permanent link to the document on the web.

Self-Archiving Policy (Author Rights)

In accordance with the principles of Open Access, JRPH allows and encourages authors to deposit their work in personal or institutional repositories. This policy is designed to increase the visibility, readership, and citation impact of the research.

Self-archiving rights are classified by article version:

Pre-print The version of the paper before peer review. Allowed. Authors may post this version on preprint servers or personal websites. None
Accepted Manuscript (Post-print) The version after peer review but before final layout and typesetting. Allowed. Authors may deposit this version in institutional repositories. None
Published Version (Version of Record) The final PDF published on the journal website. Allowed and recommended. Authors are encouraged to distribute the final PDF. None (immediate)

Repository Conditions

When archiving their work, authors must adhere to the following conditions:

  • Attribution: the deposited version must include a clear citation to the original publication in the Journal for Research in Public Health, including the DOI link.
  • License consistency: the archived version must be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. Use must remain non-commercial, and if the repository or third parties remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license as the original.
